Dr. Yen received his DDS degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in June 1983, and completed his internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCSF in June 1983. Dr. Yen holds an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and maintains many professional affiliations, including Member of the American Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association. Over the course of his career, Dr. Yen has published multiple papers on oral surgery. He currently practices dentistry for a private practice and works for Ravenswood Family Dentistry one Saturday per month to provide emergency oral surgery to RFD patients.
