Dr. Sandy Escobar obtained her BA in Psychology at UCLA, and completed her doctoral in Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. Since 1995, Dr. Escobar has held several leadership and clinical positions working in community behavioral health programs serving the neediest and most disadvantage individuals in our communities. She is both passionate and compassionate about her work in mental health and social services. She has extensive experience in program leadership and management that has serve to increase her commitment to advocating for accessible, high-quality mental health, social services and substance use care. She is particularly dedicated to serving underserved and unserved communities. She believes in the power of empowerment and strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. With a strong background in clinical supervision, especially for Spanish-speaking populations, she understands the intricacies of direct patient care and compliance. Throughout her career, she assumed progressively responsible roles that have deepened my understanding of how to positively impact the lives of those she serve. She continues to work with her teams on eliminating barriers that hinder individuals from living dignified lives filled with opportunities.
