Sheila Valdivia
RN - Director of Nursing Services
Sheila Valdivia has been working in health care for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Nursing Services. She first became a registered nurse in her native country, Nicaragua, in 2001. Sheila moved to Belize in 2005, where she worked as a registered nurse in-patient from 2005 until she moved to the United States in April 2010. While waiting to become licensed as a Registered Nurse in California, she volunteered at her daughter’s school and at Ravenswood Family Health Center. In September 2014, she started working for Ravenswood’s Women’s Health Department as a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program Worker. Her passion for nursing continued, and she was licensed as a Registered Nurse by the California Board of Registered Nursing in 2015, and took on the role of OB-gyn nurse at RFHN before moving into a leadership role. In 2017, Sheila went back to school and graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. In 2023, she obtained her Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. Sheila is a member of the American Nurses Association and holds a certificate as a Public Health Nurse. Sheila finds great satisfaction in serving the community. She is an advocate for providing the best possible customer service and the highest quality patient care. Besides spending time with her family, she loves hiking and dancing.
