Luisa Buada
RN, BSN, MPH – Director of Capital Projects
Luisa Buada has over 45 years of experience in health care administration, management and organizational development. She was the founding Executive Director of both Clinicas de Salud in the Salinas Valley and of Berkeley Primary Care Access Clinic. She cofounded LifeLong Medical Care in Berkeley as part of a merger with Over 60 Health Center in 1996. She participated as a consultant in the development of Ravenswood in East Palo Alto. After serving 12 months as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) she became the Permanent CEO of Ravenswood in November 2003.
Under her leadership, Ravenswood Family Health Center grew from 13 employees to 350 and from a modular building into a 38,300 sq. ft. facility with a separate 19 chair dental clinic. In April, 2020, Ravenswood expanded with the acquisition of three MayView Community Health Center sites in Palo Alto, Mountain View and Sunnyvale. After serving 21 years as Ravenswood’s CEO, she retired on December 15, 2023. Luisa now serves as Ravenswood’s Director of Capital Projects.
