Christy Silva
MBA – Quality & Project Management Officer
Christy Silva received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences when she worked for the government in El Salvador as a communication advisor. When she moved to the Bay Area, she started in an entry-level position at Ravenswood. Within a few months, she was promoted and moved to the Finance Department, when she decided to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration, which she earned with honors, and with a concentration in Project Management. She was later promoted to Ravenswood’s Project Planning Manager and then moved on to being the director of the department.
Her expertise met a critical need to help manage major and transformational projects, such as the implementation of electronic health records. She also helped with a major Health Care Innovation grant awarded by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services that had intensive reporting requirements on multiple indicators related to management and health outcomes of chronic disease patients, and helped map processes and workflows in preparation for the transition to our new and permanent main building in East Palo Alto. Now, as the Quality & Project Management Officer, she continues to work on new initiatives and improvement projects with the vision of whole person care, population health management, and value-based health care.
