Languages: English, Spanish
Adrian is the proud son of Mexican immigrants. His parents worked in the agricultural workforce with the hope of providing him and his sister an opportunity to excel in life and academia. Adrian received a B.A in Biology (2004) and subsequently a Master of Public Health (2007) from San Jose State University. He later returned to nursing school and also trained as an advanced practice nurse at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) (2011-2015). While at UCSF, he was selected as one of the Madison Clinic Peggy Huang Diabetes Nurse Fellows in the School of Nursing. Now, as both a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner, he feels blessed to be providing quality and culturally competent care to diverse patient populations.
Adrian is president of the Supernova Foundation, a non-profit he co-founded, which focuses on helping survivors of domestic violence. In 2019, he received the Signature Award for Service from Northern California’s Kaiser Permanente Latinx Association (KPLA). He was recognized as a 2020 UCSF campaign Alumni Awardee. Adrian currently serves as the UCSF Nursing Alumni Association President and is a co-founder of the Society of Latinx Nurses (SOLN) where he will be serving as the inaugural president of the organization.
