Yogita Thakur
DDS, MS – Chief Dental Officer
Yogita Butani Thakur, M.S., DDS, serves as the Chief Dental Officer at Ravenswood Family Health Network, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and holds hospital privileges at Stanford Children’s Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from VYWS Dental College and Hospital. She earned a Master of Science degree in Dental Public Health at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from UCSF School of Dentistry. She has held several leadership positions advocating for oral health access. She is currently a board member of the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) and the Dental Board of California.
She is passionate about Ravenswood’s mission and has worked to expand the reach of the Ravenswood dental program. She is committed to serving the underserved communities and enjoys working with patients with special health care needs. Her clinical efforts are directed towards eliminating disparities in oral health among the low-income and minority populations and those with special healthcare needs. Dr. Thakur holds adjunct academic appointments at UCSF School of Dentistry and Pacific School of Dentistry. She enjoys mentoring medical and dental students.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, cooking, hiking and reading.
