Ushma Patel obtained her degree in Dental Hygiene at University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 2010. She moved to the Bay Area in 2011, obtained her license to practice dental hygiene, and started volunteering at Ravenswood Family Health Center’s newly opened dental clinic. In 2012, she was hired to start the Virtual Dental Home Pilot implementation program to work in collaboration with pre-schools and the University of Pacific School of Dentistry. Ushma also completed her advanced training to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternate Practice from Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2013. She currently is the Virtual Dental Home manager for Ravenswood, and provides direct patient care at pre- schools and schools in our community. In her spare time Ushma likes to go for nature walksand spend time with her family.
