Sheila Valdivia has been working in health care for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Nursing Services. She first became a licensed Registered Nurse in her native country, Nicaragua, in 2001. Sheila has worked as a Registered Nurse in different countries, including Belize. Sheila moved to the United States in April of 2010. While waiting to become licensed as a Registered Nurse in California, she volunteered at her daughter’s school and at Ravenswood. In September 2014, she started working for Ravenswood’s Women’s Health Department as a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program Worker. Her passion for nursing did not stop, and she was licensed as a Registered Nurse by the California Board of Registered Nursing in 2015. In 2017, Sheila went back to school and graduated from Western Governor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked in Ravenswood’s Women’s Health Department until she became Ravenswood’s Nurse Manager in 2018. Sheila is a member of the American Nurses Association and holds a certificate as a Public Health Nurse. Sheila finds great satisfaction in serving the community. She is an advocate for providing the best customer service and highest quality patient care possible. Besides spending time with her family, she loves hiking and dancing.
